Fix
Hosted publishing works end-to-end
  • Published pages load again — the stagekit.studio/<slug> route, the analytics beacon, and the email recovery link were all hitting dead endpoints. Every serverless route was realigned so publishing, serving, tracking, analytics, and recovery now work start to finish.
  • Analytics actually records views — the tracking endpoint was erroring on every hit, so view counts always read zero. Fixed; views, referrers, and click events now log correctly.
  • Rate limiting — publish, claim, and PDF endpoints are now capped per visitor to stop abuse and runaway costs.
  • Pro waitlist is real — "notify me" signups now save to the backend instead of only your browser, so your spot survives a cache clear.
  • Server-side PDF failures now return a clean message with a Print → Save as PDF fallback instead of a bare error.

Fix
PDF faithful mode + soft launch polish
  • PDF faithful mode now carries Vibe Deck colors — the print-faithful path was missing the deck-level CSS tokens, so deck accent colors were dropping out. Fixed: Brutalist, Liner Notes, Field Recording and all other Vibe Decks now print with their full identity intact.
  • Version restore gives feedback — if a history snapshot was missing, clicking Restore did nothing with no explanation. It now shows an error message instead of silently failing.
  • ALPHA badge updated to BETA across the app and landing page.

Fix
YouTube embed errors fall back gracefully
  • Fixed the black-square problem — restored the sandbox permission YouTube actually needs (was overcorrected in v2.12.1). YouTube embeds now load with the same setup as YouTube's own Share/Embed code.
  • Error 153 fallback — when an uploader has disabled embedding for a specific video (Error 150/153/100/101), the EPK now automatically swaps the broken player for a "Watch on YouTube" link card. No more error messages stuck inside the EPK.
  • The fallback script is bundled into every exported HTML, so saved EPKs and emailed copies handle these errors too — not just the live preview.

Fix
YouTube embeds work in downloaded EPKs
  • Switched YouTube embeds to youtube-nocookie.com — the standard embed used to show a gray "Watch on YouTube" wall when the EPK was opened from a downloaded file or email attachment. The new variant loads everywhere.
  • Added the full set of permissions YouTube wants (fullscreen, picture-in-picture, accelerometer, gyroscope, web-share) so the player works the way it does on youtube.com.
  • Existing saved EPKs are fixed automatically the next time you re-export — no need to re-paste your video URLs.

Hosted EPKs on stagekit.studio
  • Publish to a URL — one click puts your EPK at stagekit.studio/<your-slug>. No account, no signup. The edit token stays in your browser.
  • Re-publish + unpublish from the same modal. The Publish button in the header flips to "Update" once a slot is live.
  • Analytics — a 📊 button appears for published slots. 30-day views, 7-day views, top referrers, music + outbound clicks, contact clicks. No cookies, no third-party trackers, bots filtered.
  • Email recovery (optional) — drop an email at publish time and we send a one-shot magic link via Resend. Recover edit access from any browser, any time within 14 days.
  • Pro tier scaffolding — "Native PDF" button next to HTML export, footer hides when you're Pro. Free users see a "Pro coming soon" modal that captures intent. ?pro=1 URL flag flips the gate.
  • Backend — Netlify Functions + Blobs for storage. Six functions: publish, unpublish, page, track, analytics, claim, recover, pdf. All gated by the per-slug edit token.

Crop before you commit
  • Built-in cropper — drop a hero or press photo and a clean modal opens with 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, and Free aspect presets. Drag the box, drag a corner, save. The output is rescaled to the original image's native resolution so quality is preserved.
  • Smart defaults — hero photos open at 16:9 to match the cover band. Press photos open at 4:5 to match the gallery cards.
  • "Use original" escape hatch — skip the crop entirely and use the file as-is.
  • Photos with proper crops also help the storage indicator: no more 8MB phone shots dragging the workspace toward the quota.

  • Mobile editor — the full builder now works on phone widths. Editor and preview alternate via a floating toggle, all sections work, every Vibe Deck renders. No second app to learn.
  • Header decluttered at small widths so the slot title and Export button stop colliding. Keyboard-shortcut buttons hide on touch.
  • Real scrolling — fixed a layout bug where the editor pane grew past the viewport and the floating button covered the last form field. Now everything scrolls with safe-area padding.
  • Bigger tap targets on list items and stacked grids so platform/URL fields are usable with thumbs.

Apple Music + SoundCloud embed automatically
  • Apple Music — paste any music.apple.com URL into Quick Fill (⌘K) and it adds a real, playable embed alongside the link. Album ?i= song-pinning is preserved.
  • SoundCloud — same Quick Fill flow now wraps the page URL in SoundCloud's player automatically. No more manual embed code copying.
  • Embed dropdown in the Music section adds an Apple Music option. Auto-normalize converts a plain Apple URL on paste.
  • Graceful fallback — if a saved embed URL stops being valid, the EPK now renders a styled "Open in [platform]" link card instead of a broken iframe.
  • Bandcamp hint — the validator now points you to the Share/Embed iframe src instead of a generic error.

  • Rich achievements — each item now takes a title, an optional year, a one-line blurb, and an optional logo URL. Old single-line entries lift into the new shape automatically the first time you edit them.
